HUMANTIFIC BOOKS

We are delighted to announce the publication of our new book:

RETHINKING DESIGN THINKING:

MAKING SENSE OF THE FUTURE THAT HAS ALREADY ARRIVED!

buy-on-amazon.png
book cover.png

Part expose, part history lesson and part provocation, ReThinking Design Thinking extends Humantific’s significant body of sensemaking work addressing innovation, design and changemaking. Connecting the dots between theory and practice, philosophy and methodology, this book shares our perspective on how Humantific makes sense of the already-arriving future of design / design thinking.

With vast confusion around the subject of design thinking in the marketplace, this book jumps in with a combination of thought-provoking conversational text and explanation diagrams. Stepping outside the pervasive industry marketing narrative, ReThinking Design Thinking points out the need for a new form of readiness to better take on the scale and complexity of organizational and societal challenges now emerging. This book clearly makes the case for more robust and adaptive methods beyond the assumptions of product, service and experience creation.

The good news is that this book also points out that a next generation, emerging practice community is already hard at work reinventing design thinking / doing for complex situations. If you are ready for acknowledging significant change challenges facing design / design thinking as methodology and interested in more clearly defined paths forward, ReThinking Design Thinking is for you.

INNOVATION METHODS MAPPING:

DE-MYSTYFYING 80+ YEARS OF INNOVATION PROCESS DESIGN

buy-on-amazon.png

Innovation Methods Mapping: De-mystifying 80+ Years of Innovation Process Design is focused on making sense of innovation process design, a complex chaotic subject. With an avalanche of innovation methods now in circulation within the marketplace, sorting out and making sense of the mess can be daunting, time consuming task.

Spanning an 80+ year time period and numerous communities of practice this book offers a new and reusable analysis framework to do just that. Anyone interested in better understanding the evolutionary history of innovation process design in order to better grasp the future forward opportunities and challenges related to methodology redesign would find this book very useful. It can save you years of methods related R&D work.

ACTIONIZING ENTERPRISE ADAPTABILITY:

MAKING SENSE OF AMBIDEXTROUS CAPACITY BUILDING

In this book we are sharing how Humantific helps organizational leaders not only create an adaptable innovation strategy for the post-covid era but to actually build sustainable adaptive capacity as a deliberate skill-set. Savvy organizational leaders have already figured out that tinkering with business model canvases and "mindsets" is nowhere near enough to remain competitive today. Previously only available to our workshop participants, this book expands upon and shares what we have learned in over a decade of helping organizations build cross-disciplinary innovation skills. Whether you choose to use the term ambidexterity or adaptability if you are interested in moving beyond strategy canvas abstractions and forward into the future of adaptable work skills in the real world this book is for you.
