Visual SenseMaking for Kids

As part of “Take your Daughter to Work Day” Humantific recently had young Sophie visit the office for half day of learning about Measure of America. Sophie saw how the book was created and what the research in the book says about America. As part of her learning experience Elizabeth lead Sophie through some Visual SenseMaking exercises to understand what Human Development is. Sophie made her own drawings to make sense of it from her perspective. See what great visuals Sophie came up with!

The Humantific | UnderstandingLab team is interested in teaching visual sense-making skills to children in class-room settings. If you know of a class interested in learning about Human Development (or any other complex subject that needs to be made understandable), please contact epastor (at) humantific (dot) com.
